On the occasion of the Milano Design Week Wise Society and Tus Holdings are pleased to invite you to the light performance by Marco Nereo Rotelli “City Color”, starting from 7.30 PM on Wednsday 18 April, at Bovisa Tech, via Durando 39 Milano.

As part of the event Smart Life Evolution and in homage to the architect Alessandro Mendini Rotelli will create, within the architectural complex designed by Atelier Mendini and conceived as a chromatic island, a light and poetry installation, which is well defined by Yves Klein’ thought, “I see colours as living beings, highly evolved and perfectly integrated individuals. Colours are the true inhabitants of space.”
Just like Alessandro Mendini offers us a fragment of a magical city  with his architecture, the light artist invites us to look at a new vision in amazement with new eyes and a fresh mind.  The language of colours, and the colours of the language will be the main theme of the light installation, which will turn the square and the buildings into a large live theatre. The work is dedicated to the colours of the sky in painting: Van Gogh’s, Tiepolo’s, and Tintoretto’s skies invading the square with light are a homage to  Mendini and his love for art, while a network of words will be created on the buildings. Mendini’s thoughts, in fact, will be projected on the architecture.
Discovering the inside from the outside. Bringing an idea, a feeling with light is the way to discover an urban space with new eyes and a fresh mind.

THE COLORS OF STARS
In the hall between the two coloured squares, Marco Nereo Rotelli and Gala will offer a small and intense exhibition dedicated to gold. What makes gold so precious is its immense symbolism: it is light, energy, strength, immortality, spirituality. It keeps the myth alive over time and through space. Referring to a verse by Ezra Pound, Gala’s creation focuses, in particular, on the importance of gold and light, two essential and symbolically relevant components in its jewellery design. A micro-world that consists of and is opposed to the idea of totality in his father’s works presenting his “Golden Doors” already exhibited in Paris with the spectacular installation “The golden doors” along the Champs Élysées in Paris.
